Keylogging software can be used by employers to track employees and ensure they are using company resources strictly for work purposes, Parents can use key loggers to track their children’s online activities in an effort to keep them safe. Keyloggers can also be embedded in viruses and malware.

A Trojan, that used scareware tactics to trip users into clicking malicious links. It has been used in clickfraud, malvertising campaigns, and most recently as a malware installation tool.
